  • 1999-2007 Student of Interdisciplinary School for Mathematics and Science at University of Warsaw.
  • 2005 – MSc. Degree in Chemistry at the University of Warsaw. Supervisor: prof. Wiktor Koźmiński.
  • 2007 – MSc. Degree in Biophysics at the University of Warsaw. Supervisors: prof. Ryszard Stolarski and prof. Wiktor Koźmiński.
  • 2005 – 2009  PhD Student at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Warsaw in prof. Wiktor Koźmiński’s group.
  • 10.06.2009 – PhD in chemistry, thesis entitled: “Methods of fast acquisition of NMR spectra for structural studies”.

Employment

  • 2002-2009 Employed in the Foundation for Diagnostics and Therapy as chemist (organic synthesis and purification).
  • From 1.11.2009 – Employed at the University of Warsaw.
  • 1.02.2010 – 15.04.2011 – Postdoc at Swedish NMR Center, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Title of the project: “NMR toolbox for studying intrinsically disordered proteins“.
  • 1.05.2011-15.04.2012 – Postdoc in TEAM programme project ”Towards new applications of NMR spectroscopy in chemical and biomolecular structural studies“ at the University of Warsaw
  • 2012-current – Head of Laboratory of NMR, Centre of New Technologies, University of Warsaw

  • 2005 – First Award in Poster Session presenting MSc. results
  • 2007 – Antoni Grabowski Award for PhD student in Chemistry
  • 2008 – Stipend of the Foundation for Polish Science (START programme). Prolongation for 2009.
  • 2009 – Nominated as a ”Young Researcher“ for Nobel Laureates Meeting in Lindau
  • 2009 – PhD Thesis ”Methods of fast acquisition of NMR spectra for structural studies” honoured by Faculty Council of the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Warsaw.
  • 2010 – Postdoc stipend funded by the Foundation for Polish Science (KOLUMB programme).
  • 2010 – PhD Thesis “Methods of fast acquisition of NMR spectra for structural studies” awarded by Prime Minister of Poland Award for PhD Thesis.

Methods of multidimensional NMR. Compressed sensing in spectroscopy and chemistry.

  • Introductory seminars in molecular spectroscopy
  • Laboratory courses in molecular spectroscopy, physics and physical chemistry
  • Popular science: lecture and laboratory practice for high-school students etc.
  • International courses in biomolecular NMR spectroscopy organized in Swedish NMR Centre, in the Polish Academy of Sceinces in Łodź and at the University of Warsaw

Professional skills and activities

  • Basic chemical laboratory skills for use with NMR spectroscopy: preparation of liquid NMR samples, setup of experiments (including C programming for pulse sequence modifications), analysis of results with specialized software: Sparky, NMRpipe etc.
  • Software exploitation skills needed for presentation of scientific results: ability to work with CorelDraw, Microsoft Office, Openoffice, LaTeX (including Beamer), Scilab, Matlab, programming in C, Visual Basic, Python
  • Skills in organic synthesis gained at work in pharmaceutical company as a technician – ability to work with HPLC and perform synthesis according to given recipe.
